Loader Operator / Laborer
Must be able to operate a loader with NO TRAINIING.
Eureka Stone Quarry, is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Loader Operator / Laborer to join our team. This position is responsible for operating a front-end loader while also performing general labor and plant maintenance duties to support daily operations. The ideal candidate will be willing to work both in equipment and on the ground as needed to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate a front-end loader to load customer trucks, feed plant operations, stockpile materials, and maintain material inventories.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
- Maintain safe and efficient traffic flow throughout the yard and plant.
- Perform routine housekeeping duties around the plant, yard, and work areas.
- Assist with plant maintenance, repairs, and cleanup activities.
- Shovel, sweep, and remove material buildup around conveyors, crushers, hoppers, and other plant equipment.
- Assist plant operators and maintenance personnel with operational and maintenance tasks.
- Perform general labor duties including lifting, carrying materials, cleaning equipment, and organizing work areas.
- Help with grounds maintenance, including trash removal, vegetation control, and snow removal when necessary.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Work safely around heavy equipment, trucks, conveyors, and other plant machinery.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support plant and yard operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating a front-end loader or similar heavy equipment preferred.
- Construction, quarry, aggregate, asphalt, concrete, or industrial experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding labor in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on uneven terrain.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
