THE ROLE
As Sous Chef, you’ll partner closely with the Head Chef to lead kitchen operations, drive execution, and develop a high-performing BOH team — while bringing the Eureka! culinary experience to life every day.
Leadership – Lead with accountability, urgency, and respect
Execution – Drive consistency, quality, and speed in a high-volume kitchen
Culture – Build a kitchen where people feel supported, challenged, and proud of their work
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Support and lead daily BOH operations in a high-volume restaurant
Coach, train, and develop kitchen team members
Execute recipes, systems, and brand standards with precision
Manage food cost, waste, inventory, and labor efficiency
Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance
Partner with FOH leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences
Help build a kitchen culture where people want to stay and grow
WHAT YOU BRING
3 years of Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef experience in high-volume or casual dining
Strong leadership and people-development skills
Scratch kitchen experience required
Passion for quality, execution, and kitchen culture
Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain)

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role.

Proven success managing high-volume kitchen operations.

Strong expertise in American cuisine preferred.

Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

Solid understanding of cost control, budgeting, and inventory management.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
-
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining high standards.

Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
