Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Estimator with a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project teams to provide accurate cost estimates and play a key role in ensuring project success.
Required skills: Commercial & Industrial construction experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documentation to develop precise cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure full project understanding.
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope, conditions, and potential risks.
- Prepare detailed material, labor, and equipment take-offs and quantity surveys.
- Source competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns and pricing proposals in line with client requirements.
- Attend bid meetings to present and negotiate cost estimates effectively.
- Build and maintain a quality estimating database.
- Meet all project deadlines and deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Project Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency with estimating software and related tools.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated and dependable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of construction estimating experience (preferred).
- Demonstrated success in producing accurate and high-quality estimates.
