Industrial Electrician (PLC Programming)

Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician with strong PLC programming skills to join a growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and programming industrial electrical and automated systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment, including motors, drives, controls, lighting, and power distribution systems.
- Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar), HMIs, and industrial automation systems.
- Diagnose electrical and control system issues using schematics, ladder logic, blueprints, and diagnostic tools.
- Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve equipment performance and implement automation projects.
- Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery and production equipment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and all workplace safety standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred.
- 4–7 years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent industrial electrical experience.
- Strong PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley RSLogix/Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, or similar platforms.
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and industrial communication networks.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for electrical and control systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
