What You'll Be Doing
As our Catering Manager, you’ll wear many hats to ensure our catering and food truck operations run smoothly while driving business growth. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Sales & Business Development
- Build and grow catering and event sales across all Eugene’s Hot Chicken locations.
- Drive catering revenue with a performance-based catering commission structure.
- Develop strong relationships with corporate, community, and institutional partners to grow our catering and event business.
- Learn and implement catering growth strategies across platforms like email, CRM, social media, and direct outreach.
- Maintain and expand our catering customer database.
- Send follow-up communications and handwritten thank-you cards to encourage repeat business.
Marketing & Outreach
- Write, prepare, and mail 250 catering postcards each month.
- Manage and distribute weekly catering and food truck calendars.
- Keep food truck and catering contact lists accurate and up to date.
Catering Operations
- Coordinate, cook, plate, organize, and execute catering orders.
- Deliver catering orders to client locations as needed.
- Assist operators with catering execution across all locations.
- Support catering prep and execution for multiple locations.
- Order and manage all necessary catering supplies and products.
- Maintain our catering brand standards and presentation.
Food Truck & Event Management
- Manage the monthly food truck schedule and calendar.
- Maintain relationships with food truck partners and event organizers.
- Oversee all food truck and catering vendors.
- Assist with food truck permits, fire inspections, and compliance.
- Keep ServSafe binders up to date for all food trucks.
Customer Experience & Communication
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal teams and external guests.
- Act as the primary point of contact for catering and food truck clients.
- Ensure clear communication between operators, drivers, vendors, and customers.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll need: - At least 1 year of experience in a similar role or related field. - A knack for building relationships and driving sales. - Strong organizational skills to manage calendars, schedules, and databases. - A customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills. - The ability to handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail. - A passion for food and hospitality.
