What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Receiving Clerk B position at Etnyre International?
The shift for this position is Monday - Friday; 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under moderate supervision, verifies and keeps records on outgoing material. Performs tasks to ship, pick, store, load, and pack materials as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Picks material for parts orders. Verifies identification of part and quantity required. Packs material for safe shipment to customers.
- Operates forklifts, hydraulic hand pallet trucks, and electric hoists to load and unload materials as needed.
- Prepares all necessary paperwork and documentation for the processing of work orders and the shipment of parts orders.
- Develops and maintains a good working relationship with all internal departments and with all outside suppliers and service providers.
- Cycle counts inventory as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
A thorough knowledge of material handling is required. Experience in the operation of forklifts, pallet trucks and electric hoists are preferred. Skills may be gained through on-the-job training and/or specialized training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent climbing, bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 80 pounds) will be required.
