Ethos is looking to add a Representative Payee Program Coordinator to the Boston Money Management Program team. This position provides direct bill payer services to help elders stabilize their housing by using their social security income to pay their bills and maintain essential documentation supporting required payments.
Monday – Friday 9 am to 5 pm, FT, 35 hours/week, non-exempt.
Hybrid work option is possible after a successful 6-month introductory period.
Starting at $24.00 hourly (calculated as $43,680.00), depending on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Respond to daily emails and calls from case managers and clients to resolve day to day issues including rent share letters
· Spending plan adjustments
· Executing client orders daily, copy print receipt and add to QB match when product is shipped
· Data entry in Salesforce to reflect client file changes
· Responding to collateral and client phone calls routed from the front desk
· Return any conserved funds to the Social Security Administration via cashier’s check
· Build and maintain professional relationships with client’s collaterals to support client in Representative Payee Program.
· Provide direct bill payer or representative pay services to elders or disabled younger adults in a timely fashion
· Set up client notes
· Analyze and change automated payments upon request from Manager or Client
· Verify deposits (Optima) prior to any disbursements
· Troubleshoot/resolve creditor payments and Social Security benefit issues
· Coordinate completion of Social Security Administration annual reports for representative payee clients
· Scanning and filing in the H:drive and Salesforce
· SSA referrals set up, send to SSA and follow up
· Update spending plans as needed
· SSA CDR’s and reviews
· SSA Rep Payee Reports
OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS:
· Manage workflow on Salesforce
· Archive terminated client files in Salesforce
· Maintain essential documentation for client files
· Shut down automated payments and all memorized QuickBooks transactions
· Support Manager and Bookkeeper in SSA audit requirements
· Perform clerical and other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associates degree in human services and at least two years of social services experience or five years of social services experience in lieu of degree is required.
· Experience working with the elderly, crisis intervention or de-escalation experience, and/or experience working in a community service setting is preferred.
· Ability to utilize interpersonal skills in relating sensitively to the concerns affecting the elderly and disabled individuals and the population as a whole is preferred.
· Previous experience working in a team-based environment highly desirable.
· Ability to observe and report objectively in both a verbal and written manner.
· Flexibility to accept changing priorities.
· Ability to climb stairs and carry up to 20 pounds.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Intermediate computer skills with database experience required. Knowledge about Salesforce and Office 365 is preferred.
· Some financial literacy on Social Security Administration as it relates to Representative Payee is preferred.
· Ability to work offsite
