What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expert Opportunity – Private Equity Analyst ($150/hr, up to $3k/week) position at Ethos?
We're working with a leading foundational AI lab to find experienced private equity professionals who can help train their latest language model on leveraged buyout modelling and private company analysis tasks.
We're looking for analysts and associates with significant PE experience who have built LBO models from scratch and know what good looks like. You are comfortable working with private company financials, messy dataroom documents, and incomplete information, and you know how to structure an analysis that gives a clear picture of returns, risks, and value creation levers under those conditions.
You'll create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated work across core PE analysis workflows: LBO model construction from private dataroom documents, returns analysis, debt structuring and sizing, management case versus base case scenario analysis, and investment memo writing.
Compensation: $150/hour
Commitment: Flexible, 5 to 20 hours per week (up to $3k/week)
Location: Fully remote, work on your own schedule

Qualifications:
- Analyst or Associate at a top private equity firm with hands-on LBO modelling experience
- Significant experience working with private company financials and dataroom due diligence
- Strong written communication and ability to evaluate financial models for accuracy and structural soundness
