In Your Day-to-day, You Will
- Triage and monitor emergency and critically ill patients, escalating changes to the veterinary team
- Place IV catheters, draw blood, and administer medications and fluids under veterinary direction
- Induce, monitor, and maintain anesthesia and provide skilled nursing care for surgical and critical cases
- Perform diagnostics such as radiographs, laboratory samples, and patient assessments within the WA LVT scope of practice
- Perform accurate calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture
- Washington LVT license (or close to obtaining it)
- Foundational technical skills and an interest in developing advanced ER nursing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and confidentiality
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
