What You’ll Do
AVSE is a brand new 20,500-square-foot facility that houses ER, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, and Neurology. Together, we will strive to deliver advanced medical treatment to our patients, compassionate and transparent communication to their families, and a collaborative workspace where staff well-being matters. Under the direction of our highly experienced Medical Director, and with the back-end business support of Ethos Veterinary Health, AVSE has been a welcome addition to the patients and families of Alpharetta and the surrounding communities!
Our hospital includes: Four well-equipped surgical suites, dedicated canine and feline ICU wards, CUBEX mini units, dedicated isolation wards, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Digital Radiology, 10 exam rooms, EzyVet with Smart flow patient management system, and ample office and conference room space.

About You
You are a well-rounded veterinary professional with a strong foundation in general practice who is excited to grow within Internal Medicine. What You’ll Do
- Assist Internists with advanced diagnostic procedures and patient care
- Provide nursing care for complex and chronic Internal Medicine cases
- Obtain patient histories, take vital signs, and collect samples
- Assist with imaging and diagnostics (ultrasound, lab work, etc.)
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Perform proper patient restraint and handling
- Support patient flow and ensure a high standard of care
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a general practice setting required
- Strong foundational skills in patient care, restraint, and basic procedures, with an interest in Internal Medicine and advanced case management
- Active veterinary technician license required for LVTs, with strong technical skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, and medication administration. Experience with diagnostics and complex case management preferred
- Ability to work around anesthetic gases, chemicals, and zoonotic diseases. Comfortable working with animals, including those who are sick or stressed. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
- Flexibility to support occasional schedule adjustments
