Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with ICU exams, procedures, and treatments
- Monitor and record patient vitals and behaviors
- Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision
- Prepare and maintain exam and treatment areas
- Restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Provide client support and education
- Support lab work, stocking, and general hospital upkeep
- Registered Veterinary Technicians will be given the utmost consideration
- Experienced Veterinary Assistants and Veterinary Technician students are also encouraged to apply!
- Strong clinical skill set
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a physically and emotionally demanding environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
