Air Quality Monitor / Environmental Field Technician (Temp-to-Perm)

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Some nights, weekends, and overtime may be required
Pay Rate:
$18 per hour

Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Air Quality Monitor / Field Technician to support environmental air monitoring at construction sites throughout the Hudson Valley and surrounding counties. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career in environmental monitoring, construction support, or field services.
No prior air monitoring experience is required — all training and certifications are fully paid by the employer.
Air Quality Monitor / Environmental Field Technician Responsibilities:
- Monitor air quality at active construction and job sites
- Collect and handle air samples according to established procedures
- Review testing results and document observations
- Maintain accurate daily notes, logs, and records
- Travel to various job sites across Rockland, Westchester, Greene, Sullivan, and Columbia Counties
- Follow safety procedures and use required protective equipment, including respirators
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and science skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required
- Ability to transport work tools during the workday
- Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods
- Willingness to work overtime, including occasional weekends
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
- Must be clean-shaven due to respirator requirements
Preferred Background (Not Required):
- Experience in construction, environmental work, HVAC, or skilled trades
- Familiarity with job sites or building environments
- Interest in environmental science or field-based technical work
