M. Peppers is an exciting neighborhood French bistro located in the Highlands. Focusing on traditional French cookery with local ingredients and a concentration on French and American wine and classic cocktails that pair harmoniously together.
Schedule: Candidates must be available to work evening shifts and weekends, as these are essential to the role.
Overview:
We are seeking a Cook to join our team, ensuring high-quality food preparation, presentation, and kitchen efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare dishes according to recipes and Chef’s instructions.
- Maintain consistent portioning, plating, and presentation standards.
- Manage your assigned station, ensuring ingredients are stocked and fresh.
- Fill guest orders in a timely manner, maintaining high quality.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory, deliveries, and waste reduction efforts.
- Communicate effectively with BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth service.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Support kitchen teamwork by helping train new team members.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience as a cook in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper ingredient handling.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Working in hot, humid, and noisy environments with hard surfaces.
