Accounting Analyst
Type: Full-time | Experience: 2–5 years
Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Accounting Generalist to support our finance team across a broad range of accounting functions. This role is well-suited for a professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities, and brings strong organizational and analytical skills to daily financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time
- Perform general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and variance analyses
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely invoice processing and payment
- Support payroll processing and maintain related records
- Assist with budget preparation, tracking, and forecasting
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit preparation
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, GAAP standards, and applicable regulations
- Enter and manage financial data within Fishbowl inventory and accounting software
- Assist with tax preparation, filings, and documentation as needed
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to system or workflow enhancements
- Provide cross-functional support to operations, purchasing, and leadership as required
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in a general accounting or bookkeeping role
- Proficiency in Fishbowl inventory and accounting software
- Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Familiarity with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) tracking
- Background in a product-based or production-oriented business environment
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA licensure
- Experience supporting financial audits or regulatory compliance reviews

Compensation
Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
