eTel is seeking an experienced Senior AI/ML Architect / Engineer to lead the architecture, implementation, and operationalization of advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing best practices, standardizing tooling and workflows, ensuring responsible AI governance, and enabling scalable AI/ML solutions across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and modular AI/ML platform infrastructure.
- Evaluate, integrate, and operationalize modern AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI).
- Develop and enforce policies and technical controls for responsible AI, including input/output filtering, agent guardrails, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Design and manage the full AI/ML lifecycle, including model registration, versioning, deployment orchestration, monitoring, and rollback capabilities.
- Enable developer self-service by implementing portals and API catalogs, standardizing API documentation, and overseeing API governance and lifecycle.
- Deploy and operate observability stacks (e.g., OpenTelemetry) for real-time monitoring, alerting, and root cause analysis of all AI/ML systems.
- Design, implement, and maintain foundational services, including vector databases, distributed caching, and feature stores for enterprise-wide AI/ML usage.
- Collaborate with data, security, and DevOps teams to ensure integration, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience architecting and implementing enterprise-scale AI/ML platforms.
- Deep experience with the end-to-end AI/ML lifecycle, multi-agent systems, orchestration tools, and MLOps best practices.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, and modern observability tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Grafana).
- Expertise in API development, documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger), and API management/governance.
- Experience designing and implementing technical and policy-level guardrails for responsible AI operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to produce high-quality documentation and deliverables.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain IRS MBI clearance.
- Hands-on experience with AI agent frameworks and integrating with enterprise security and data platforms.
- Familiarity with federal, industry, or NIST-aligned AI risk management or governance frameworks.
- Experience supporting multiple development teams through reusable, shared AI/ML infrastructure and services.
