Pay Range: $(44.00 – 48.00)/hr on W2 all-inclusive without benefits

Job Description:

• Team details & who they will work with: Working on basketball signature athlete products, Kobe products, Production Artist Apparel Digital Design, Design AP Excellence

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Minimum required years of experience: 5 YOE in Production Art for Apparel
• Education requirements: Bachelors or equivalent experience

Must have skills:

• Experience working with signature athletes, fashion side of apparel
• Extensive experience as a senior level apparel production artist
• Portfolio: Includes technical schematics, HM wants to see Graphic Design experience and Production Art technical schematic experience for logos and trims, proof they can do this job from start to finish, clear examples of what parts of the process they've owned

Nice to have skills:

• Technical graphic design for Apparel products, have created schematics that are used for factory production
• Screen printing on apparel, trims for apparel, color separations for screen-printing, all-over print, printing design, supplementation
• Footwear and accessories production art experience

Software/technical requirements:

• 3D experience, CLO, Ai tools - has an interest or experience with it
• Previous client/industry experience preference: Yes
• WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
• You will report directly to the Production Art Manager or Senior Manager, while working in collaboration with fellow Graphic Production Artists and Graphic Designers. Your primary cross functional partners will be Apparel Design, Graphic Design, Product Management, Technical Development and Material Development.

• We are looking for a Production Artist to join the Design Production Art team who loves the technical details of the graphic process as well as finding new ways of working.
• This role amplifies graphic design by delivering flawless, production-ready files.
• They are a trusted resource within the team, creating detailed and accurate graphic schematics, with the ability to run point for Production Art within given categories by attending meetings, identifying personal action items, and being available as the go-to graphic production resource for a greater, cross-functioning team.
• In addition, they will coach and lead our team into new ways of working. This candidate needs to have a creative mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, while keeping production moving forward.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5 years of experience in a design and/or production environment
• Proficient knowledge of Illustrator and Adobe Suite
• Advanced of graphic applications such as ink types and trim substrates
• Understanding of product lifecycle and key deliverables
• Expert-Level listening, communication and organizational skills
• Proven ability to support and lead peers in new tools and ways of working
• Ability to navigate ambiguity while continuing to collaborate with the team
• Laser focus on the critical details that often get missed
• Ability to multi-task amidst competing priorities
• Curiosity for learning and building a strong design community
• Experience in 3D apparel programs (CLO or Lotta) is preferred
• Understanding of Smartsheets, Airtable, and Miro is a plus
• A love for sports is a bonus but a love for design is essential

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

• If this is you, you will be working on highly visible product across cut and sew and tees inspired by Signature Basketball Athletes. This is where sport, design, style and culture meet and where we are redefining graphics for both athletes and fans. You will work with Design to create and finalize graphic details across multiple levels of product. You will be inspired and challenged by a wide range of responsibilities and experiences.
• You will do this by leveraging 2D and 3D tools. A typical day could include Production Art meetings and alignment, high-volume schematic creation and lay-down product page creation, creating documentation for downstream partners and reviewing strike-offs. In addition to creation, you will be responsible for tracking and maintaining updates on all appropriate files for accuracy through final approval. You will learn new tools and advocate for efficiencies in the product creation life cycle.
