At Client, the Communications team curates and amplifies the company’s narrative—building powerful relationships, influence, and opportunities through storytelling and experience. The Lead, Sport Moments & Athlete Communications, will serve as a primary conduit between Global Communications and Global Sports Marketing, with a focus on turning sport and athlete insights into impactful internal and external storytelling.
This role specifically supports Running, Global Football & Olympics, and is responsible for identifying and elevating high-impact sport moments and athlete partnership stories that shape Client's voice across audiences.
What You’ll Do
Serve as a core link between Global Communications and Sports Marketing for Running, Global Football, and Olympic categories— ensuring athlete insights translate into clear, compelling communications strategies.
Build and execute integrated communications plans that support Client's sport moments tied to Running, Global Football & Olympics.
Develop, collaborate on and execute integrated communications plans that position athletes and sports partnerships at the center of Client's global narrative.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Business Affairs, Legal, and external partners to ensure alignment on communications strategies.
Work closely with Sports Marketing teams to proactively surface storytelling opportunities tied to athlete achievements and key global events.
Support the development of reactive statements and issue mitigation strategies, collaborating with Legal and Comms leadership when needed.
Represent Client at athlete and sport moments, managing athlete interviews and providing real-time communications support.
Contribute to team excellence by sharing knowledge, supporting junior team members, and helping build a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Global Consumer, Product and Brand Communications team
Global Sports Marketing teams (including Olympic, Basketball, Training, Golf & Tennis)
Global Strategy
Brand Marketing (especially on athlete-led campaigns and anthems)
Legal, HR and Business Affairs
External athlete representatives and agencies
Senior leadership across Global Communications and Sports Marketing
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, brand storytelling, sports marketing, or ,—preferably with a global brand or agency.
Strong writing and message development skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives.
Confidence in collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and working in a highly matrixed organization.
Understanding of media dynamics, earned storytelling, and reactive response best practices.
Knowledge and passion for sport—especially Running, Global Football, and Olympic competition—and the cultural power of athletes.
Adaptability and calm under pressure in fast-paced or live environments.
