ETAP is seeking a Power System Engineer with expertise in modeling and control of renewable plants, microgrids, and inverter-based resources, and a passion for developing innovative software applications in this evolving space. As part of our Control R&D division, you’ll contribute to cutting-edge tools that address complex challenges in the integration of renewable energy into the grid and microgrid systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, design, and test software applications for modeling, control, and energy management of renewable energy systems
- Develop technical specifications and validate advanced engineering solutions
- Conduct engineering studies focused on renewable integration, microgrids, and plant-level control systems
- 2 to 5 years of relevant industry or academic experience
- Hands-on experience in modeling and analysis of renewable power plants, microgrids, and grid codes
- Strong understanding of power system control, dynamics, and optimization
- Ability to interpret and follow industry standards to develop technical specifications
- Demonstrated research, design, and testing capabilities
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and self-managed, with strong analytical skills
- Experience with ETAP or similar power system simulation tools is highly desirable
- Basic programming knowledge in C , C#, or Python
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Power System Engineering
