Location: NYC/NJ (remote-first, with occasional in-office days in Linden, NJ, as well as travel for trade shows and buyer meetings)
The Role
We're looking for a hungry, relationship-driven Junior Account Manager to help fuel our next phase of retail and wholesale growth. This role sits at the intersection of new business development, trade show representation, and account support — and is perfect for someone early in their sales career who's passionate about clean beauty and CPG. The role will focus on sourcing new accounts, managing existing relationships, and supporting sales operations as needed.
What You'll Do
New Business Development
- Prospect and pitch new retail, specialty, and wholesale accounts across lifestyle, natural,and mass channels
- Research and identify emerging retail partners, regional chains, and independent boutiques that align with the ESW Beauty brand
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective accounts, and follow up consistently to move opportunities forward
- Prepare compelling sales presentations and brand materials for buyer meetings
Trade Shows & Events
- Represent ESW Beauty at industry beauty & natural trade shows
- Staff the ESW Beauty booth, engage buyers and press, and generate qualified leads on the show floor
- Help coordinate pre- and post-show outreach to maximize ROI from each event
Account Support
- Serve as a day-to-day contact for a portfolio of existing retail and wholesale accounts
- Monitor sell-through, coordinate reorders, and flag any issues to ensure accounts are set up for success
- Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to support product launches, promotions, and retailer-specific initiatives
Who You Are
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development (CPG, beauty, or retail a plus — but not required)
- A confident communicator who's comfortable cold-calling, presenting to buyers, and networking at events
- Candidates should be comfortable being available beyond standard 9–5 hours for follow-ups, including emails, meetings, and calls as needed.
- Highly organized with strong follow-through — you don't let things fall through the cracks
- Genuinely excited about clean beauty, wellness, and the ESW Beauty mission
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, startup environment where you'll wear multiple hats
- Willing and able to travel for trade shows and account meetings as needed
Job Information
- Full-Time Role
- Base Compensation: $55K
- Other Compensation: Commission & Quarterly Bonus
- Location: Hybrid — must be based in the NJ/NYC area and able to commute to our New Jersey office (when requested)
