Job Summary
Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a part time Fiscal Assistant. This position will provide email, front-line and phone customer service for Student Business Services.

Essential Functions
40% - Follow and explain MCCCD and EMCC policies and procedures; maintain daily cash drawer and reconcile cash, credit, check, and transactions; assist students in-person, over the phone, and by email with student account inquiries, tuition and fee payments, payment plans, third-party authorizations, departmental deposits, tuition waivers, financial aid disbursements, and student IDs.
40% - Participate in student outreach: contact students to check in and remind them of tuition due dates. Contact and respond to students concerning refunds and past-due balances.
20% - Assist staff with petty cash and respond to staff inquiries. Provide clerical support and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years or more experience in customer service and cash handling
- Experience using an online student information system
- Experience working in higher education
- Experience processing, maintaining, and monitoring student accounts and tuition payments
Special Working Conditions
May be required to view computer monitor for prolonged period of time.
May be required to work weekends.
