Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Ocoee, FL for a 2-20 Licensed Insurance Agent. The Insurance Agent will be responsible for generating leads, selling insurance products, and providing personalized advice to clients to meet their insurance needs. Daily tasks include building relationships with customers, offering tailored insurance solutions, assisting with claims, managing policy renewals, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities
- Sell, quote, and bind personal and commercial lines insurance policies (Auto, Home, Commercial Auto, General Liability, etc.)
- Consult with clients to assess insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions
- Quote policies through multiple carriers using comparative rating software
- Meet or exceed individual sales, retention, and cross-selling goals
- Cross-sell additional insurance products to existing clients
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records in the agency management system (e.g., QQ Catalyst)
- Stay current with carrier underwriting guidelines, product updates, and industry regulations
- Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals
- Deliver exceptional customer service with timely follow-up and communication
- Generate and follow up on leads from walk-ins, inbound calls, referrals, and digital platforms
- Maintain an active Florida 2-20 license and complete all required continuing education
Qualifications
- Active Florida 2-20 General Lines Agent License (Property & Casualty) – required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish – required
- Proven skills in Insurance Sales, Insurance, and Insurance Brokerage
- Prior insurance sales and/or customer service experience
- Knowledge of personal and/or commercial lines insurance products
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with insurance software and tools (e.g., TurboRater, AgencyZoom, QQ Catalyst, Microsoft Office)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
Preferred Experience
- Prior work experience as a Florida-licensed 2-15, 4-40, or 2-20 insurance agent within the property and casualty insurance industry is strongly preferred
- Ability and willingness to work at multiple office locations, as business needs require
