What are the responsibilities and job description for the Precision Assembler position at Essex Industries and Careers?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Receive job order and direction from supervisor. Performs tasks of substantial variety which require a knowledge of assembly techniques, tools, materials, machines and equipment
- Test Assembled parts as per product requirements
- Perform repair work (under FAA and other regulatory requirements) as required.
- Monitor clean room particles counter
- Read and interpret the blueprint
- Assemble to blueprint specifications
- Create setup (whether it is a setup box or a complex setup).
- Read ATP and follow its procedures to test the parts (if ATP is required for the part).
- Fill out test data to record results of the ATP, if applicable.
- Test parts from outside sources and answer any questions, when necessary.
- Help out where needed to complete the job orders to schedule.
- Comply with Essex company policies and maintain a positive work environment.
- Assist in other areas, or tasks, to meet production needs
Requirements
- Required to have 1-3 years' experience in assembly work; high school level education required or equivalent. Technical school education preferred.
- Moderate Physical Demand: Continuously lifting or moving light weight material; frequently lifting or moving average weight material; rarely lifting or moving heavy weight material
- The pay for this position starts at a minimum of $16.32/hr. when the minimum job requirements are met and goes up based upon a candidate’s experience and qualifications in a similar role. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance.
