What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manual Machinist position at Essex Industries and Careers?
Job Responsibilities
- Primarily operate Manual Lathes & Bridgeport Manual Mills
- Ability to use measuring devices to verify part conformance
- Develop setups and processes to meet customer specifications
- Track tooling usage and inventory. Provide tooling needs as the job requires.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Maintain production logs (Work Orders, Inspection Logs, Part Counts, etc.)
- High School or GED
- Experience operating Manual Lathes & Mills or similar (5 years preferred) Familiarity with machine tools and equipment
- Ability to interpret drawings and blueprints and perform intermediate to advanced operation of Manual Lathes & Mills
- The pay for this position starts at a minimum of $24.76/hr. when the minimum job requirements are met and goes up based upon a candidate’s experience and qualifications in a similar role. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance.
