Property Accountant
Job Description:
Reporting to the Vice President of Accounting and Administration, the requirements are laid out below. This position is a full-time, hybrid, work from home position.
Job Duties:
- Prepare and complete first level of review for monthly property financial statement packages.
- Prepare and deliver monthly property financial statement reporting packages for ownership.
- Participate in the preparation of annual property level budgets and period cash forecasting.
- Assist with property lender reporting and lender compliance.
- Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations and accounts payable management.
- Work effectively with site team to ensure accurate posting of income and expenses.
- Special Projects, as needed and assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Accounting.
- Minimum of 4-6 years property management accounting or relevant accounting experience.
- Ability to read and interpret accounting reports and business correspondence.
- High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel.
- Effective interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail; organized.
- Knowledge of budget and expense control.
- Good time management skills with ability to set priorities and multi-task.
- Must be able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office products and Real Estate software. Yardi Accounting Software experience is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
