Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily home care operations, ensuring seamless service delivery aligned with healthcare standards.
- Manage clinical staff including, caregivers, and administrative personnel to optimize team performance and patient outcomes.
- Oversee medical records, documentation, and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic.
- Develop and monitor budgets, control expenses, and oversee fiscal management to ensure financial sustainability of home care programs.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care plans effectively.
- Ensure adherence to accreditation standards such as JCAHO and manage utilization to optimize resource use within managed care frameworks.
- Conduct human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and addressing staff concerns to maintain a motivated team environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in healthcare management or medical office management with a strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical work flows.have 3 to 5 years experience
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in fiscal management, budgeting, and financial oversight within healthcare or dental clinics.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, Dentrix or Eaglesoft for accurate medical records management.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical administrative support practices, and compliance standards like JCAHO.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in office management, practice management software, and medical records administration.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
