Job Overview
We are seeking a New Jersey Licensed Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) to join our Child Study Team on an as-needed, per diem basis in Haddonfield, NJ. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced LDTC, special education evaluator, or Child Study Team professional who specializes in conducting educational evaluations and special education assessments.
This is an evaluation-only position with no case management or ongoing student service responsibilities.
The LDTC will conduct comprehensive educational evaluations for students referred to the Child Study Team, review student records and assessment data, prepare special education evaluation reports, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings as needed. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of New Jersey special education regulations, NJDOE requirements, and Child Study Team procedures.
LDTC Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations for students referred for special education services.
- Review student records, educational histories, and existing assessment data.
- Administer, score, and interpret standardized educational assessments and academic testing.
- Prepare clear, accurate, timely, and legally compliant special education evaluation reports.
- Participate in special education eligibility meetings, Child Study Team meetings, and IEP meetings as needed.
- Collaborate with Child Study Team members, special education staff, school personnel, and families.
- Provide evaluation findings and recommendations in accordance with NJDOE special education regulations.
- Maintain student confidentiality and comply with all applicable special education laws, regulations, and school policies.
LDTC Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) Certification required.
- Experience conducting educational evaluations, special education assessments, or Child Study Team evaluations in New Jersey schools.
- Strong knowledge of New Jersey special education regulations, NJDOE requirements, and CST procedures.
- Excellent written communication, educational report writing, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage evaluation timelines, and meet established deadlines.
- Experience with special education eligibility evaluations and IEP processes preferred.
