Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction and heavy machinery team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of construction and industrial equipment, ensuring safe and efficient project completion. This role requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with heavy machinery, and the ability to work on diverse construction sites. The Equipment Operator will play a vital part in supporting our projects through precise operation of equipment such as loaders, excavators, cranes, and trucks.
Duties
- Operate a wide range of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and front loader trucks to facilitate construction activities.
- Manage and operate specialized vehicles such as dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks for material transport and site management.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure safety and proper functioning; perform basic maintenance as needed.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, lifting, and material handling tasks.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on the construction site.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining high safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance logs.
Experience
- Construction site experience is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery operation is essential.
- Experience operating equipment such as bulldozers (dozer), loaders (front loader truck), backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other heavy machinery is required.
- Commercial driving experience with relevant licenses is a plus.
- Familiarity with concrete mixers and farm machinery is advantageous.
- Knowledge of operating tanker vehicles or water trucks is beneficial.
- Prior experience with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is desirable. This role offers an opportunity for hands-on work with diverse machinery in a dynamic construction environment.
