About the Role
Espey is seeking an organized, customer-focused HR Support & Reception Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, applicants, and business partners. This role combines front-office administration with Human Resources support, helping create a welcoming workplace experience while assisting with employee services, attendance tracking, onboarding activities, and HR administrative processes through our ADP Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, technology-savvy, and enjoys working with people in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Front Office & Visitor Experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, applicants, customers, and vendors.
- Greet and assist guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Manage incoming calls using the multi-line telephone system and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Coordinate visitor sign-in procedures and maintain visitor logs in compliance with government regulations in a secure facility.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference room reservations.
- Maintain company directories and contact information.
Human Resources Support
- Support HR operations through the ADP Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Assist with employee onboarding and new hire documentation.
- Maintain employee attendance records and daily absentee reporting.
- Support employee file maintenance while ensuring confidentiality.
- Assist employees with HR-related questions and direct them to appropriate resources.
- Coordinate employment applications, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
- Assist with HR projects, reports, and administrative initiatives.
Administrative Support
- Prepare correspondence, reports, memos, presentations, and other business documents.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Perform filing, scanning, copying, and electronic document management.
- Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year of administrative, human resources, customer service, or office support experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree is related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service mindset and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Experience working with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platforms.
- Previous Human Resources administrative experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or professional office environment.
- Knowledge of employee onboarding and personnel record management.
- Experience supporting recruitment or employee engagement activities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
- Frequent use of computers, telephones, and standard office equipment.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
