Job Summary
We are seeking an OSHA Certified professional to join our team, responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of health and safety within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental health and safety (EHS) practices, along with the ability to conduct training and develop safety programs that align with OSHA standards.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of workplace environments to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety training programs for employees, focusing on best practices in occupational health and safety.
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and accidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with management to create policies related to workers' compensation law and ensure proper reporting procedures are followed.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on safety performance metrics, including incident reports and compliance documentation.
- Provide first aid and CPR training as needed, ensuring staff are equipped to handle emergencies effectively.
- Stay updated on EPA regulations and other relevant environmental laws to ensure organizational compliance.
- Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare staff for potential incidents.
Requirements
- Valid OSHA certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of EHS principles, including occupational health standards and workers' compensation processes.
- Experience in training development and delivery related to safety protocols.
- Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey safety information across all levels of the organization.
