Requirements / Qualifications

-Bachelors Degree required -Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential or Speech Language Pathology Services Credential -Resume -(3) Letters of Recommendation (within the last year) -Letter of Introduction -Official Transcripts

Must have experience in speech therapy; knowledge in interpreting diagnostic tests to identify the language, speech and hearing needs of referred students; determines when the communication handicap is the primary handicapping condition and conveys this to the IEP Team. Knowledge in writing diagnostic reports. Prepares appropriate Individual Educational Plans for students who meet criteria for the program. At the time of initial employment, credential unit members shall be given full credit on the salary schedule for their first ten (10) years of full-time teaching experience, whether in California or another state. Thereafter, one (1) year of credit for each two (2) years of full-time teaching in California or another state will be allowed. Such experience credit shall only be allowed for public school teaching experience.
