Under direct supervision of the site principal, the school counselor will help students establish and achieve academic, career, personal and social guidance best suited to their needs, abilities and interests.

At the time of initial employment, credential unit members shall be given full credit on the salary schedule for their first ten (10) years of full-time teaching experience, whether in California or another state. Thereafter, one (1) year of credit for each two (2) years of full-time teaching in California or another state will be allowed. Such experience credit shall only be allowed for public school teaching experience.
