What are the responsibilities and job description for the SubSource Substitute Position - Operational Support position at ESI?

What you need:
- Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card (*Required for ALL substitute positions with ESI)
- Valid I-9 documents for verification of identity and US employment authorization
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization (if born in 1957 or later), or may be authorized to waive
- Pass ESI’s supplemental mandatory criminal background check
- Must be 18 years of age or older
What types of positions there are (position availability varies by district):
- Operational support substitute positions do not require a teaching certificate and typically support the day-to-day operations of a school/school district (examples: custodian/maintenance, groundskeeper, crossing guard, food service worker, etc.)
What you may do as an operational support substitute:
- Custodian/maintenance subs assist in cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the school grounds including minor repairs to lights, plumbing, and furniture.
- Groundskeeper subs assist in trimming and shaping plant life (trees, shrubs, grass), maintaining rock/gravel/paved areas, clearing debris, etc. on school grounds.
- Crossing guard subs assist pedestrians in safely using crosswalks to arrive and depart from school campuses.
- Food service subs assist in preparing and serving meals, cashiering, and cleaning food prep/eating areas.
- Competitive daily or hourly rates that vary by district and position type
- Paid Sick Time (PST), earn 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours PST per school year
- Medical benefits available to substitutes that qualify
