Our client is seeking a detail-oriented EHR Data Entry & Application Support Specialist to assist with the configuration, maintenance, and day-to-day support of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with healthcare or EHR experience who enjoys working with system configuration, user support, and data accuracy.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable following documented procedures, supporting end users, performing basic system testing, and completing configuration tasks within the EHR environment.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain EHR worklists, templates, and provider settings.
- Build and update clinical orders, lab orders, order sets, and order groups following established procedures.
- Update flowsheets, permissions, billing templates, and other EHR configurations.
- Perform system validation testing after application updates using provided test scripts.
- Monitor support requests and assist end users with common EHR issues, escalating more complex issues to the EHR team.
- Manage user accounts, including user access, roles, permissions, location updates, and account maintenance.
- Validate user roles and security settings following system changes and new environment deployments.
- Support EHR training by formatting documentation, creating training materials, and assisting with training registration.
- Assist with medication configuration, including formulary updates, drug item setup, order management, and inventory preparation for site go-lives.
- Complete routine maintenance and configuration updates across multiple EHR environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate findings to the EHR team.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) system.
- Experience performing data entry, application support, or system configuration within a healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with user account management, permissions, or application administration.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting healthcare providers, clinics, hospitals, or healthcare IT teams.
- Experience with EHR configuration, templates, orders, workflows, or medication setup.
- Experience with user access management and application testing.
- Previous experience supporting EHR implementations or go-live activities.
