Role Description
This is a full-time ole based in Washington, District of Columbia. The Mailroom Clerk, proficient in American Sign Language (ASL), will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail, managing mail distribution, and maintaining records of delivered and dispatched items. Additional tasks include assisting with clerical duties, providing exceptional customer service, and effectively communicating with team members and clients, including those who use ASL. Organizational skills and adaptability to a fast-paced environment are key to this role.
Qualifications
- Experience with Mailroom Operations and handling incoming and outgoing mail
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and strong Communication skills
- Clerical Skills, including maintaining records and organizing documents
- Strong Customer Service skills to address client and team inquiries professionally
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a hybrid environment
- Familiarity with office equipment such as printers and mail machines
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior mailroom experience is a plus
