About the role:

The Network Engineer designs, implements, secures, and supports ES Foundry’s enterprise network infrastructure across office, manufacturing, cloud, and remote-access environments. This role ensures reliable connectivity, strong cybersecurity controls, and resilient network performance for business and production operations. The successful candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with proactive monitoring, disciplined documentation, and effective cross-functional collaboration to reduce risk, resolve incidents, and support the company’s continued growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, internet, and cloud network connectivity.
• Administer network security platforms, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, network access controls, and secure remote-access solutions.
• Monitor network availability, capacity, performance, and security; identify trends and resolve incidents before they affect business or manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, wireless, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and connectivity issues across corporate and production environments.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, configuration standards, asset records, procedures, and disaster recovery documentation.
• Automate routine network administration, configuration, monitoring, and reporting tasks where practical.
• Perform vulnerability reviews, network audits, risk assessments, access reviews, and testing of security controls.
• Coordinate with IT, cybersecurity, operations, engineering, vendors, and service providers on upgrades, projects, outages, and incident response.
• Maintain backup configurations, lifecycle plans, patch levels, and firmware standards for network infrastructure.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing, and remediation activities.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and communicate network risks, outages, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide occasional evening, weekend, or onsite support for planned work and critical incidents.
• Perform all other duties assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Eight or more years of progressive network engineering experience, including experience securing enterprise network environments.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, TCP/IP, and network monitoring tools.
• Experience supporting highly available infrastructure in a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly complex operating environment preferred.

Desired Skills:

• Expertise with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, WatchGuard, or comparable enterprise networking and security platforms.
• Experience with cloud networking and security in Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of network automation and scripting tools such as Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or infrastructure-as-code platforms.
• Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, NAC, packet analysis, configuration management, and enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver complex infrastructure projects on schedule and within budget.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in office, data center, and manufacturing plant environments, including areas with moving equipment and controlled access requirements.
• Regular use of computers, network diagnostic tools, communications equipment, and standard office technology is required.
• May occasionally lift, carry, install, or reposition network equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• May require climbing ladders, working in telecommunications rooms, or accessing equipment in production areas while following all safety and PPE requirements.
• Must be available for on-call support and occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work for maintenance, upgrades, and critical incidents.
• Occasional travel may be required to support company locations, service providers, training, or project activities.
