Job Summary

Blenders & Batch Weighers are responsible for the pouring and blending of food products and ensuring the confidentiality and blends to customer's specs & recipes are accurately measured for each formulation. The Batch Weigher is hand-weighing bulk ingredients into required weights and measures to comply with blend recipes. The Batch Weigher builds pallets of bulk and pre-weighed ingredients broken out by batch per customer orders.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform Mixing & Blending tasks according to confidential recipes & specifications
• Hand-weigh dry spice and seasonings ingredients to recipe or blend sheet specifications
• Duties include blending, packaging, filling & station sanitization cleanup
• Filling orders, logging and recording tracking numbers as required, shipment staging, & packaging products
• Operate motorized forklift to move bulk materials or occasionally a stock picker to pull or re-stock blend materials as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by properly disposing of waste materials, sweeping floors and removing the trash daily

Requirements

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities -

• Must be able to read and interpret recipes, weights & measures
• Must be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events and react well under pressure
• Comply with the Company Confidentiality agreement
• Demonstrate accuracy of measurements and specifications on recipes and blends
  
  

Experience, Education, And Training -

• High school diploma/GED required
• Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered
• Food & Beverage or perishable goods industry experience highly desirable
• Must complete On-site Forklift Certified, Food Employee HACCP certified, Equivalent
  
  

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is subject to the following requirements:

• To see, talk, and hear
• The employee is often required to stand, and use their hands and fingers to handle, feel, or type
• The employee frequently lifts greater than 40 pounds while batch-weighing and building pallets
• Work is completed at shoulder height often
• Employee lifts, pushes and pulls greater than 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• The employee regularly lifts and/or move up to 50 pounds of bulk material bags and boxes
• Strong aromas of spice, allergens, and particulates in the air
