2nd Shift Blender Operator

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:30 pm

Job Summary:

The Blender will be responsible for following proprietary formula recipes for the creation of custom spice blends. This includes weighing dry or liquid components, blending food products, operating of large industrial mixers, and movement of large amounts of product using pallets, pallet jacks, forklifts, totes, boxes, and carts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform Mixing & Blending tasks according to confidential recipes & specifications
• Weighing and measuring products for order specifications
• Managing raw materials movement between building locations to prep for blend schedule processing
• Operate motorized forklift to pull bulk materials or ingredients, as well as complete put away
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by properly disposing of waste materials, sweeping floors and generally keeping the working area clean
• Regularly lifting, up to 50 pounds, repeatedly throughout the day
• Operation of large industrial mixers
• Knowledge of LOTO and other safety policies

• Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities -

• Must be able to read and interpret recipes, weights & measures
• Must be able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events, and react well under pressure
• Must be able to pass a Respirator Fit Test and Respirator Training
• Comply with Company Confidentiality agreement, Demonstrate accuracy of measurements and specifications on recipes and blends

Experience, Education, and Training -

• High school diploma/GED required
• Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered
• Food & Beverage or perishable goods industry experience highly desirable
• Must complete On-site Forklift Certified, Food Employee HACCP certified, Equivalent

• Exposed to strong aromas of spice, allergens, and particulates in the air
