Currently hiring for both Second and Third Engineers unlimited for a 4-month contract on a rotational basis.

- Contract expected through January 2027.
The opportunity:
The Second Assistant Engineer reports to the First Assistant Engineer on the subsea rock installation vessel (SRIV). The Third Assistant Engineer reports to the First Assistant Engineer (or Second Assistant Engineer) on the subsea rock installation vessel (SRIV). The SRIV is a DP2 specialized OSV equipped to carry varying types/grades of rock from quarries/port out to install as scour protection on project sites for offshore wind farms, overpower/communication cables, or pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all the mechanical and electrical equipment onboard the vessel, from standard marine systems to rock installation mission equipment.
- Must possess analytical skills to troubleshoot, operate, and repair assigned ship equipment and to interpret technical manuals, schematics, reports, etc.
- Assist with day-to-day operations in the Engine room.
- Must follow all Company safety and pollution prevention policies and procedures as well as take an active part in the development and improvement of Job Safety Analyses (JSA) with other crew.
- Perform the watch standing, maintenance and repair of shipboard equipment, including DP systems, propulsion systems, diesel engines, pumps, winches, hydraulic systems, refrigeration equipment, electrical equipment, hotel systems, compressors and machinery for pollution prevention defined in the MARPOL convention.
- Supervise the watch standing, maintenance and repair of shipboard equipment, including DP systems, propulsion systems, diesel engines, pumps, winches, hydraulic systems, refrigeration equipment, electrical equipment, hotel systems, compressors and machinery for pollution prevention defined in the MARPOL convention.
Requirements:
- Must possess a U.S. Coast Guard license for Second or Third Assistant Engineer (or higher) on Motor Vessels of Unlimited Horsepower.
- Must possess a valid medical certificate.
- Must possess a TWIC card.
- Must possess a United States Passport.
- Must have a minimum of 12 months experience on DP vessels in the offshore industry; preference is 24 months of experience on DP2 vessels.
Pay: $600.00 - $850.00 per day
