ERSG is hiring a Technical Training Specialist on behalf of a leading renewable energy company. In this role, you'll deliver hands-on, instructor-led technical training to personnel working across Wind, Solar, and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) operations. This is a W-2 contract position expected to run for approximately one year, with a strong chance of extension. The role is fully on-site, five days per week.
Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Deliver instructor-led, virtual, onsite, and hands-on technical training for Wind, Solar, and BESS personnel.
- Serve as an instructor for Climb & Rescue, Technical System Training (TST), and other assigned technical courses.
- Facilitate classroom instruction, demonstrations, workshops, simulations, and practical exercises.
Training Program Support
- Support execution of O&M training programs while reinforcing HSEQ requirements.
- Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining training materials, curricula, qualification matrices, and training documentations.
- Support scheduling and coordination of technician qualifications, certifications, recertifications, and refresher training.
- Maintain training records and qualification data in ME-Learning and other systems.
Training Center Operations
- Support day-to-day operations of the OKC Training Center.
- Maintain training equipment, materials, classrooms, and hands-on lab activities.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Analyze participant feedback and training effectiveness data.
- Recommend improvements to training content and delivery methods.
- Partner with HSEQ, O&M, Technical Support, and other stakeholders.
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Safety & Compliance
- Promote safety culture, compliance, and operational excellence in all training activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field plus 3 years of training execution experience, OR
- Associate degree or High School Diploma plus 5 years of training execution experience, evaluated based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Technical training delivery and facilitation.
- Knowledge of wind industry operations and power generation. ~5 years
- Understanding of electrical systems and industrial maintenance.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (Wind, Solar, BESS).
- Knowledge of safety management systems and quality systems.
- Experience with document management systems.
- SAP knowledge preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Adobe.
- Travel availability up to 25% (local, domestic, and international).
- Experience maintaining training records and supporting qualification programs.
- Experience working within safety and quality systems.
Schedule: Mon-Friday 8am-5pm
