Radiology Technician-PRN

At Laredo Rehabilitation Hospital, our hospital has been ranked in the Top 10% nationally for rehabilitative care for 7 years and has earned The Joint Commission’s Stroke Certification.  At our 40-bed hospital, we provide specialized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services to our patients, serving Lafayette and the surrounding communities. We see patients who often are recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions.

We are seeking a PRN Radiology Technician to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

Required Skills:

• Current state licensure required per state
• CPR
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Graduate from an AMA (American Medical Association), two-year Radiologic Technologic program
• Minimum 1 year experience preferred

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Knowledge of radiology principles, procedures and standards, including appropriate radiologic exposure times and safety
• Knowledge of the physical and operational characteristics of radiologic
• Knowledge of clinical operations and
• Ability to calibrate, configure, and adjust equipment and associated facilities and devices in accordance with procedures and
• Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and
• Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record
• Effective organizational and time management

Under general supervision, operates radiology equipment to assist the Radiologist in diagnosis of disease or injury. May prepare and administer various radiologic medications as appropriate to the nature of the radiologic procedure being carried or performed. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
