General information Job Title Building Maintenance Technician - DFW Airport Date Tuesday, June 16, 2026 City Dallas State Texas Full/Part Time Full Time Exempt or Non-Exempt Position Non-Exempt Shift A.M. shift, Overnight shift, P.M. shift Requirements and Description ERMC is seeking a Maintenance Technician Apprentice. The candidate selected is responsible for but not limited to:
- Assist electrical, HVAC, and plumbing technicians
- Be able to perform scheduled and non-scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
- Monitor HVAC airflow and distribution in Terminals
- Change HVAC filters
- Maintain, repair, and replace electrical motors
- Maintain, repair, and replace water and hydraulic pumps
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues that may arise
- Ensure the proper use of all tools for cutting, bending, and welding of equipment
- Carry out detailed evaluation of equipment to ensure they are in good condition for proper use
- Carry out repairs on ceilings, floors, and walls by combining plaster of spackle and paint
- Inspect equipment such as refrigerators and air conditioners from time to time for proper cleaning, speed, temperature, and adequate lubrication
- Repair and change locks in the building and perform complex lock servicing to ensure the maximum safety of all people
- Knowledge of electricity, carpentry, and plumbing, among other technical skills.
- Plumbing background is preferred but not required.
- Excellent ability to communicate system problems to both co-workers and management for proper understanding
- Exhibit good mechanical skills to handle equipment to avoid causing injuries to oneself and others on the ground.
- Can evaluate computer-related work orders for accuracy.
- Must have all basic hand tools.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Completing
- Must possess a Government ID and a social security card.
- Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.
- Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
- Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
- Able to receive appropriate security clearances after completing a criminal background check.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
