JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Erling Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering precise cost estimates for electrical projects. Tasks include analyzing blueprints and project documents, conducting cost assessments, and collaborating with project managers and contractors to ensure smooth project completion. The estimator will also participate in cost control and value engineering activities.

Our core expertise is with fuel systems however we are expanding our offerings to provide a broad range of equipment, installation, repairs, and maintenance of the mechanical systems in these facilities. Our market is roughly the eastern half of Texas. We have delivered double-digit annual revenue growth for over fifteen years and expect that to continue going forward. We are privately held.

A PREVIEW OF YOUR DAY TO DAY
- Create profitable winning bids for the construction of fueling, convenience, and retail facilities
- Perform site visits to verify site layouts and equipment needs
- Interact with vendors, contractors, and customers to maximize bid win rates
- Work closely with the project management and sales teams to judge bid performance and receive valuable insight into upcoming work
- Accurately calculate volumes, distances, quantity takeoffs, and expected resource utilization
- Build spreadsheet models at the component detail level to determine pricing and margins
- Compare executed project performance to past bids to improve bidding accuracy

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School minimum; Degree in related field preferred; Experience overall - two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
- Experience working in ACCUBID a plus
- Electrical Journeyman License a plus
- Must work at an intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient in take-off estimator planning
- Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu or alternate takeoff software preferred
- Must pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment
