The Options program offers meaningful activities and support for those living with family, in a group home or Life Sharing setting, or to those who live independently with appropriate support. Options supports those with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live throughout Erie, Crawford, and Venango.
The position is based in Erie County and does not offer a remote option. It is 37.5 hours per week, primarily 1st shift, with flexibility to work in to 2nd shift as needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for direct supervision of the Direct Support Professionals (DSP’s).
- Monitor and track employee documentation, employee benefit times, i.e., accrued Sick, PTO, etc., and address employ concerns when they arise.
- Works with Human Resources and Operations Coordinator to ensure all direct care hourly positions are current and accurate, and signs all necessary payroll change forms.
- Responsible for Options onboarding and training for DSP’s that are new to the Options program.
- Enhance communication with DSPs utilizing various methods of communication, including in person and electronic.
- Provide input and assists in planning and guiding educational, social, recreational, and other activities for the program.
- Conducts employee meetings at minimum, every other month
- When necessary to cover scheduling gaps and/program needs, provide direct care and transport the individuals in Agency and personal vehicles.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations with emphasis on employee supervision and training.
- Ensures training curriculum is met for all assigned DSP’s following agency regulations, policies and procedures.
