The Director of Human Resources (HR) & Career Development (CD) is responsible for directing the employee-related functions of the Agency in accordance with Agency policies and procedures, the ethical and social consciences of business and society, and the laws and regulations under state, federal, and employment law, in addition to Agency regulations. This person is also responsible for assisting the Vice President of Human Resources & Career Development with strategic human resources planning to ensure effective development and enhancements are implemented for workforce acquisition, retention, education and training purposes.
- 37,5 hours per week (full-time)
- Pay range $67K-$70K/year
- This position is located in Erie, PA.
- THERE IS NO REMOTE OPTION FOR THIS POSITION.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and at least three years of progressively related job experience, OR an Associate’s degree in human or related field and at least five years of progressively related job experience.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning human resources and training administration.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply human resources guidelines and polices, as well as education regulations, contracts and other controlling procedures
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, leadership team members, employees, and members of the general public
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with others in sensitive and confidential situations
- Supervisory or management experience is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Complete all in-service training hours and clearances per agency regulations and policy, as they pertain to this position.
