Dual Credit Coordinator
The Dual Credit Coordinator is a part-time (20 hours per week), temporary professional responsible for expanding and facilitating dual credit opportunities between EC3 and high schools throughout the county. This individual will build and solidify partnerships with school districts and academies, promote dual credit programs to students and parents, and develop and maintain an engaging web presence detailing available pathways. This role is dedicated to increasing access, building essential partnerships, and ensuring that students and families in the county benefit from time- and cost-saving dual credit pathways.
Duties & Responsibilities
Partnership & Program Expansion
- Assist the Academic Deans in initiating and formalizing dual credit agreements with school districts, technical schools, and academies in the county.
- Coordinate discussions among high school administrators, counselors, and EC3 faculty to align curriculum
- Assist the Academic Deans in gathering the information necessary to credential high school teachers to teach or facilitate the college curriculum.
- Coordinate meetings and materials needed for special dual credit initiatives, such as the Regional Choice Initiative consortium, home school groups and technical school pathways (e.g., Welding with ECTS).
Outreach & Recruitment
- Engage directly with students and parents to explain program benefits, eligibility, and participation steps through info sessions, meetings, and communications.
- Work with counselors to build infrastructures that reduce the complexity and time consumption involved in guiding interested students through application, registration, and credit-sharing processes.
- Promote equity by targeting outreach toward at-risk and underrepresented populations in accordance with the expectations of the grant.
Digital & Web Presence
- Create and maintain up-to-date online resources describing dual credit options, pathways, and next steps, accessible for students, parents, and school partners.
- Develop digital content including FAQs, application guidelines, and timelines based on ongoing program updates and grant opportunities.
Support & Logistics
- Coordinate events and orientation sessions explaining program details, academic benefits, and cost savings.
- Guide students through steps such as EdReady preparation, advisor meetings, registration, and technology setup (e.g., loaner laptops, online shells).
- Ensure communication channels remain open between EC3, partner schools, and families throughout the enrollment cycle.
- Work with dual credit faculty at the college and in the high schools to ensure their knowledge of and comfort with the expectations of the program.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Associate degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with K-12 or college partnerships; familiarity with dual enrollment programs.
- Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to create ideas for web content (although the web design will be managed by our Marketing department).
- Ability to coordinate across diverse teams.
- Comfortable presenting to groups and working directly with families.
- Commitment to increasing access for all student groups, including at-risk and underrepresented populations.
Compensation & Reporting
- Part-time, temporary (grant-funded through June 30, 2027; renewal possible based on funding and outcomes).
- Reports to the Dean of Academics and work closely with the Office of the Dean, and the Student Success staff.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
