Position: Teacher Aide (10 month)

Location: Cayuga Heights Elementary

Hours: Monday - Friay 8:30am-3:00pm

Type of Appointment: Full-Time

Start Date: Sept 2 2026

Salary: 19.75 per hour

Job Description

• Assist students transition throughout the building
• Assist with monitoring student reading instruction
• Meet with students the foyer before and after school at Cayuga
• Monitoring students for toileting needs
• Assistance with toileting as needed
• Assist classroom teacher with additional tasks as requested
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to establish good relationships and get along with children, maintain order and ensure that school regulations are followed.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, administration and staff.
• Good power of observation and dependability
• Prior experience caring for students with disabilities Understanding and respect for confidentiality
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; OR
• Four (4) years experience in the care and supervision of children; OR
• An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (1) and (2).
