Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients at the scene of incidents and during transport, including airway management, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring in a rural setting.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments using physiology knowledge and medical terminology to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses.
- Operate emergency vehicles safely while adhering to all driving regulations; handle heavy lifting and physical exertion during patient handling.
- Triage patients efficiently at emergency scenes or hospital settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers, prioritizing care based on urgency.
- Collaborate with hospital staff during critical care transfers, ensuring seamless communication and adherence to protocols.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care reports, vital signs, medication administration records, and incident logs in compliance with healthcare standards.
Experience
- Prior experience is a bonus, but not required
- Licensure required, compact licensure acceptable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and urgent care scenarios.
