What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Controls Engineer position at Ergonomic Partners?
Automation Engineer
As an Automation Engineer, you will be a hands-on partner in our design and build process, bridging the gap between mechanical concepts and functional reality. You won't just be sitting behind a screen; you will actively participate in the full lifecycle of our custom automation solutions-from developing PLC programming and electrical schematics to the physical assembly and wiring of control panels. Because every project we build is a custom-engineered device, you will work closely with a collaborative team to solve unique challenges and ensure our machines are brought to life with precision and reliability.
Core Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented engineer with a 2- or 4-year degree in Automation, Controls, or Electrical Engineering and 2-3 years of experience in automated machinery development. You should be comfortable working with PLCs, HMIs, and Servo Controls, and have a solid grasp of CAD Software (i.e. SolidWorks) for creating electrical schematics. Most importantly, you should enjoy a "tools-in-hand" environment where you are as comfortable wiring a system as you are programming it.
We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
