Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food handling and food safety sanitizing procedures are meticulously followed to maintain hygiene standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes and flavor combinations based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Maintain high-volume production standards during busy hours while ensuring quality control
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, restock supplies as needed, and communicate shortages promptly
- Adhere strictly to food safety management protocols, including proper storage, temperature control, and sanitation practices
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, especially with pizza or similar cuisine
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation methods
