Design and document mechanical systems that bring automation to life—then guide those designs from concept to build.

Design and document mechanical systems that bring automation to life—then guide those designs from concept to build.
What challenges will you tackle?
- Translate customer goals into detailed machine concepts; travel on-site when needed to study processes firsthand.
- Engineer full machine assemblies, following established design practices and delivering clear build documentation.
- Present designs to customers and internal teams to confirm performance and requirements alignment.
- Advance several projects in parallel, ensuring consistency across equipment families.
- Collaborate with Machining, Welding, Purchasing, and Assembly to move designs into production.
- 5 years in mechanical design with a strong mechanical instinct.
- Proven problem solver with experience in industrial automation—gear reduction, servo motion, and VFD drive systems.
- Skilled in Autodesk Inventor (or a comparable platform).
- Bonus skills: AutoCAD, macros, Visual Basic, and Excel.
- Clear communicator who thrives independently and with teams; composed under deadlines.
- Fluent in blueprint reading; grounded in machining and assembly practices.
- CAD software for modeling and drawings.
